At the beginning of the 19th Century it was used as a 'School for young ladies" subsequently it has been a private house and a convent for the Dominican Sisters.

The Harpenden House Hotel has been operating as a hotel since 1970 and many of the original period features remain, including a large 18th Century fireplace in the welcome lounge. The majority of bedrooms and meeting rooms are adjacent to the main house in the Garden and Hertfordshire Wing. The Hotel has undergone a transformation with a recent investment of over £2 million. The Hotel now offers luxurious rooms; all have high specification and are extremely comfortable. Our Winepress Restaurant, welcome lounge and bar areas have all been transformed. This has enhanced the original charm and character, while offering a more modern setting.

Two fashion shows are at 12.30 and 2.30pm featuring stunning dresses from Airs and Graces, Berkhamsted. Mother of the bride is provided by Elenis Fashions Luton.

See over 30 exhibitors including John Lewis, Welwyn.
