Set within the sprawling acres of Hatfield Park in Hertfordshire where Queen Elizabeth I spent much of her childhood, our dramatic and two very different venues provide equally eye-catching wedding venues. The historic and grand Old Palace or the contemporary Riding School both provide a unique, timeless and magical backdrop for your wedding celebrations in Hertfordshire.

Built in 1497, the striking Old Palace is the perfect setting for a grand reception with up to 270 guests. For slightly smaller occasions, the modern Riding School, with contemporary state-of-the-art facilities, can accommodate up to 120 guests. Both venues are licensed to perform civil ceremonies so you can hold your whole day of celebrations in one beautiful location.

Hatfield House’s superb surroundings are beautiful in every season. The glorious gardens and the stunning park provide breath-taking backdrops for your treasured photographs.

The Luxury Wedding Fair at Hatfield House

A spectacular Wedding Fair held in the historic Old Palace and contemporary Riding School at Hatfield House. As well as up to sixty leading wedding professionals from Hertfordshire and beyond, this unique and long running Wedding Fair often also includes masterclasses on wedding related topics. Whilst part of the Old Palace will be decorated and dressed for a wedding offering you an insight and inspiration.

There are fashion shows at 12:30pm and 2pm featuring the very latest bridal and couture gowns, (often menswear and mother of the bride is included too), together with an array of live entertainment.

Knowledgeable staff from Hatfield House Hospitality will be available to discuss your wedding ideas and to offer tips and advice.

The courtyards shops, galleries and restaurant will be open for you to browse and enjoy.
