Nonsuch Mansion is a wedding venue in Cheam, Surrey, England. This magnificent stately home is situated on the east side of Nonsuch Park, near the site where Henry VIII’s magnificent Nonsuch Palace once stood. The mansion was built by Sir Jeffry Wyatville, who is, today, principally remembered for his alterations to Windsor Castle. Work was begun on Nonsuch Mansion in 1802 and completed in 1806. The building was an early exemplar of the Tudor Gothic style. The northern front of the property was based on illustrations of Nonsuch Palace. A datestone from the demolished palace is visible by the mansion’s main entrance. Nonsuch Mansion is a Grade II* listed building of rare and exceptional beauty, such that none can compare. Every love story deserves a day of wonder and splendour, and you and your guests are invited to come and experience all that this beautiful Georgian property has to offer.

Facilities and Capacity

Nonsuch Mansion is set amidst 300 acres of picturesque parkland and gardens. The mansion is available for exclusive hire, and it is licensed for civil ceremonies. It has a maximum capacity of 120 seated guests or 200 standing guests. The Orchid Room is the mansion’s largest event space. It boasts a fine array of distinctive, eye-catching features, including medieval-style motifs, stained glass, golden chandeliers, long panel mirrors, and an impressive fireplace. Large bay windows look out onto the lawn and fill the room with rich, natural light. Tall white shutter doors can be closed to divide the room into two separate event spaces. The adjoining North and South Porches can be used as breakout reception areas. The Dressing Room is located on the first floor; the mansion’s second floor features a stunning apartment, complete with 11 boutique bedrooms for overnight accommodation.

Catering is provided exclusively by Bovingdons. Bovingdons has been in business for more than 30 years; their menus are designed by talented, Michelin-trained chefs who use only the finest seasonal ingredients. Your wedding package also includes tables, chairs, linen, crockery, cutlery, and glassware. The mansion’s dedicated wedding planner will also be available to support and assist you and answer any questions you may have.

The Luxury Wedding Fair at Nonsuch Mansion, a beautiful wedding venue is the perfect place to seek help and find inspiration when planning your wedding. The Wedding fair features leading inspirational exhibitors from the Surrey area and beyond, offering products and services covering every aspect of your wedding and some you might not have considered.

There are usually weddingwear fashion shows featured at around 12.30pm and 2.00pm on our signature catwalk. There you can view the latest bridal gowns and often menswear too. Plus, you can relax and listen to great live music and entertainment.

Knowledgeable staff from Nonsuch Mansion will be present to show you around and to discuss your wedding plans and ideas.
